Barton Marine has been chosen to supply the recently revived Varianta 18 with a range of deck hardware fittings. After a 40-year absence, the popular 18 foot sailing yacht has been reintroduced by German yacht manufacturer Dehler. The 2010 version has been designed by Henrike Gänß and combines modern materials with innovative technology whilst maintaining the vision of original designer Willi Dehler.
The Varianta features a 7 metre jib and 14 metre mainsail and has been fitted out with Barton’s 20mm T Tracks and cars, mainsheet and kicking strap plus deck organisers, rope clutches, pad eyes, bullseye swivels and golf grip tiller extension. Incredible easy to sail the Varianta is also very comfortable with a versatile interior that can easily be converted from living area to sleeping quarters.
The unique design of the Varianta means that it is incredibly buoyant in the water making it unsinkable. Priced at just 10,000 euros, it is also extremely affordable.
