Our production director Paul Botterill is also Chairman of British Sailing, which recently hosted the 2012 Legacy Event at the Southampton Boat Show. The event highlighted how businesses belonging to BMF members can get the most out of the Olympic legacy and how the industry can get more people out on the water.

Andrew ‘Bart' Simpson MBE, the Star Olympic Gold medallist inspired members with his Olympic campaign outlining how he will continue to benefit from the Games and what he believes the legacy will bring to both the country and to the marine industry.

Jacqui Gisborne from Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy entertained the audience with how the Olympic legacy is being created in their district. The RYA explained the ‘Sail for Gold' programme and how businesses all over the country can get involved to encourage new people into the sport.
