Barton Marine’s management is pleased to announce that Jed Toole, 21, has joined the engineering team on a Manufacturing Operations  (PMO) apprenticeship. Jed will be trained in all aspects of the manufacturing process with special emphasis in injection moulding.  Jed comes to Barton with a background in elevator engineering but desires a more comprehensive manufacturing background.

Barton Marine’s Managing Director Paul Botterill says “it’s often difficult to find skilled engineering staff, so the apprentice program is a valuable way of developing individual skills that help shape Barton’s workforce and pass on skills to the next generation”.

The apprentice project is overseen by Avanta, a company that oversees the apprentice program
providing support and assessment for the first year of employment.
