Following three years away further developing his vast industry experience as a luxury yacht broker, he will be picking up his previous management role to drive business growth across the world and bring his wealth of knowledge to assist in charting the potential challenges of Brexit. Christian previously worked as Sales Manager for Barton over nine years from 2007-2016.
Able to hit the ground running due to his extensive understanding of the Barton Marine product range and existing close relationships with the distribution network, he will be assisting with business development and new product launch plans from day one.
Christian has a sailing history which goes back to his teenage years, when he first got out on the water crewing with the great Stuart Jardine in the Quarter Tonner class. He boldly claims to have sailed every single one design keelboat class, has 15 National sailing titles and 1 European Championship win to his name. He was also an Olympic Squad member and Olympic Reserve in the Tornado catamaran class for the 1988 games in South Korea. Nowadays, he keeps his skills honed racing Lasers. When it comes to deck equipment, there is little he does not know.
Christian said, “I have always maintained a friendship with the Barton team. The business culture is one of building long term relationships and it is a great place to work. When the offer was made to return to sales management it was an easy decision to step up to the challenge and accept.”
Suzanne Blaustone, CEO said, "Christian brings a wealth of sales history and marketing acumen to the Barton Team. We could not be more proud and happy to welcome him back to the Barton front line!"
Christian is based from Barton Marine HQ in Whitstable, Kent and is looking forward to supporting and discussing new trade opportunities with distributors, retailers and riggers around the world.
