Seawork 2018 saw a larger Barton Marine presence at Mayflower Park in Southampton, as we took advantage of the opportunity to meet with customers and suppliers, and to showcase the new Barton Marine products to the commercial marine market.
Barton’s stand was strategically placed opposite the Innovation Showcase and close to the Press Office, making our space more accessible to those who passed by. Although the footfall seemed lower than previous years, we received valuable insight into commercial workboat requirements and met with marine users and designers who would look to utilise Barton’s manufacturing resources in a host of commercial and consumer applications.
Barton also had the pleasure of sponsoring the Women in Commercial Marine Industry event, designed to offer women working in the commercial marine industry the opportunity to get together, network and hear about key industry developments. Seawork wasn’t all work and no play however, as Barton was proud to sponsor the Winklepickers Band during the 4th of July party on the docks, featuring a hearty BBQ and a cardboard boat regatta – a great, fun event for all involved.
