Keith Garside owns Hanse 320 which he sails out of Kip Marina on the West Coast of Scotland. He fitted our Size 2 removable mainsheet traveller assembly in April 2013. He has enjoyed some lively passage sailing on the West Coast and is delighted with the performance.

Keith writes:
“I made up stainless steel backing plates for the track end plates (24 090) and squared up the cockpit sides with shims to get them vertical which wasn’t too difficult. With six bolts holding each end plate in place and using a high beam traveller track it is a very robust piece of kit. I have also positioned it so that the boom is attached straight above the track so that there is no forward / aft pull. It is also quite a tight fit so there’s no movement between the bracket and track for it to work loose.

We have been very pleased with it having used it in anger many times now. No fear about it’s strength especially with the stainless steel backing plates I made up for holding the end plates. In it’s position we have not actually had to remove it that many times as it is neatly tucked down in front of the pedestal. It has made handling the main that much easier for short-handed sailing.”
