Barton Boomstrut – Dinghy
The Dinghy Boomstrut 44001 is manufactured and anodised in black only. It has a black webbing support sling that is fully adjustable and fits any boom. It is held in place by a return line to mast that runs under the boom. The design allows rotational roll on the boom, so sail shape is maintained. Suitable for dinghies with a maximum boom tip weight of 5kg. Works in conjunction with the existing kicker or rope vang fitted to the boat.
Description
Six sizes to suit yachts up to 12m/40ft LOA
Patented flexing spring provides fast response and a constant force for vang efficiency
The boomstrut’s lightweight, low-profile design features two flexible coated fibreglass rods which provide the force to support the boom. Pulling the boom down with a conventional kicker causes the Boomstrut to flex; releasing straightens the rods, thereby lifting and supporting the boom.
Maintenance-free, durable design
Eliminates friction and sliding parts.
Improved performance
Less weight and windage.
Easy installation
There’s no need to replace your existing hardware – the Boomstrut mounts independently inside the existing kicking strap tackle.
Simple to follow instructions
The Boomstrut is supplied with complete fitting instructions and more comprehensive details are available here on our website.
Mast fitting can use existing luff groove
To eliminate drilling, the Boomstrut’s mast bracket can be slotted into your mast’s luff groove.
Contoured boom fitting
The Boomstrut’s boom bracket is contoured to fit both round and flat boom profiles.
Carefully designed & constructed
The Barton Boomstrut has been carefully designed and constructed to eliminate sharp edges, minimise parts and provide trouble-free installation and use.
All parts are from high grade stainless steel and black or grey anodised aluminium for good looks and durability. Spare parts available.
