Our high load eyes are finding lots of uses on all types of boats, from high tech. dinghies right up to top end Cruising yachts.
Our first photo shows a Brenta 24 mast base.
Our second photo shows a Barton 60 454 High Load Eye installed on an Oyster 655 as a guide eye for a halyard direct to a winch, the strength of the strop and eye is equally comparable to an expensive mast base block but at the fraction of the cost. The super smooth new anodised finish reduces friction and wear on the halyard.
Our third photo of staff member and Sonar crew David Hawkins shows a simple and effective way to double the power of the vang fiited, yet at minimal cost when compared to a high load block. The 60 451 high load eye has been spliced into a strop attached to the kicker mount plate on the boom.
