We have just returned from another successful trip to one of Europe's most important boat shows, Boot Dusseldorf where our products had some great exposure throughout the show. It was really good to speak to our exclusive German distributor, Robert Lindemann KG as well as a number of our German customers and get some valued feedback on how business is going in their market as well as hearing about how well the our own products are doing.

We had a fantastic presence at the show on the Robert Lindemann KG stand where three large Barton merchandising stands displayed a range of our equipment including the mainsheet traveller systems and T Track accessories. Also on display was a range of cleaning products from our sister company Swobbit Europe.

There was plenty of interest reported in the Barton and Swobbit brands thanks to some great exposure from retailers such as AWN who has a big spread of both brands in their new 2010 catalogue.

Around the show Barton products were highly visible on a number of craft such as the innovative Smartkat catamarans, which have been fitted with custom orange and dark grey Barton blocks and cleats. Smartkat reports good forward orders for this year with as many as 200 boat sales predicted, thanks to the expansion of their dealer and distributor network in Europe. TOPCAT boss Eric Brandsetter was pretty pleased with the show overall. Barton supplies the jib furling units for a number of catamarans within the Top Cat range whose Class association is active on the European lakes as well as number of international venues – Dubai World’s next!

Tes 28 – a Polish built 28’ yacht
Tofinou – a French builder of very designer dayboats for the ‘well heeled’. They use our boomstrut with custom black rods to complement the carbon rig.
